1. Scope
This policy explains how we collect, use, retain and protect information when providing Tidebound Fleet (the “game”) and related support, and how you can exercise your rights. It applies to the public release that includes Google AdMob rewarded ads, our own game analytics and Google Play in-app purchases, from the time that release provides services to you.
Core puzzle play does not require a game account. Progress, items and preferences are primarily stored on your device; analytics does not provide cloud saves or cross-device recovery. Availability in each country or region is determined by the local Google Play store.
2. Information and purposes
2.1 Local game data
The game stores progress, coins, tools, collections, equipped items, language and sound preferences, and records preventing duplicate rewards or settlements in application storage. This information operates the game and preserves items and preferences. Local storage does not itself mean uploading; information sent to servers is limited to the services described below.
Core gameplay does not require your real name, telephone number, contacts, photos, microphone recordings or precise location.
2.2 Game analytics and technical information
When you allow optional analytics and age and regional conditions permit it, we collect the following through our own service interfaces and store it using Neon to understand level difficulty, feature use and technical quality:
- Gameplay events: level starts, completions or failures, play duration, tool use, in-game shop interactions, and rewarded-ad and game-reward outcomes.
- Technical information: application and operating system versions, device model or category, language, event times and relevant error information.
- Random identifiers generated to associate records with an installation or game session. These do not directly state your real name, but linked records are not fully anonymous.
We do not use this analytics to build cross-app advertising profiles or include raw purchase tokens in analytics events. Declining or withdrawing optional analytics consent does not prevent core offline puzzle play.
We also process necessary consent states, age categories, and network/security information to apply privacy choices, age protections and service security rules. These are managed separately from optional gameplay analytics. Full dates of birth are not included in behavioral analytics. Section 5 addresses children and users of unknown age.
2.3 Rewarded advertising
The game uses only Google AdMob rewarded ads that players actively choose to view. Rewards and their requirements are explained before an ad starts. You may decline or dismiss an ad. If the stated requirements are not met, you may not receive that reward, but normal gameplay is not blocked as a result. Core play remains available when an ad is unavailable.
Google and providers supporting its advertising services may process IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them, ad requests, impressions, interactions, diagnostics, and device identifiers permitted by applicable settings, such as Android Advertising ID or App Set ID, to provide, measure and protect advertising services. Personalized ads are provided only when age, regional rules and your valid privacy choices allow them; they are not provided to children or users of unknown age.
Non-personalized ads may still involve necessary network addressing, frequency management or fraud prevention. Choosing to view an ad is not consent to every form of processing; legally required consent is obtained separately. We process necessary completion and reward results to grant rewards correctly and prevent duplicates.
See Google’s Privacy Policy and advertising technologies information. Applicable advertising privacy choices provide information about relevant advertising technology providers.
2.4 Google Play purchases
Google Play processes payments for digital goods. We process necessary product identifiers, order references, purchase receipts or tokens, transaction times, purchase and verification status, and fulfillment or refund records to verify purchases, provide and maintain purchased entitlements, avoid duplicate fulfillment, and handle refunds or disputes.
We do not collect full payment card numbers or payment passwords. Google handles payment account information under its policies; we remain responsible for our integration and the transaction information we receive.
2.5 Support, privacy requests and website access
When you email us, we process the email address, message and necessary game or transaction references you provide to respond, verify requests and assist you. Do not send payment passwords, full card details or unnecessary identity documents.
When you visit our policy pages or use online services, hosting services receive IP addresses, request times, requested paths, browser/system information and necessary error logs to deliver content, resolve faults and protect services. The policy website itself does not include advertising trackers or gameplay analytics scripts.
3. Grounds for processing and choices
We determine processing grounds under applicable law: necessity to provide requested game, purchase and support services; consent for optional analytics and advertising or device-information uses that require it; and legal obligations for transaction records and lawful requests. Where law permits, necessary troubleshooting and fraud prevention rely on legitimate interests in service security, balanced against your rights, especially children’s rights.
Continued use, closing a notice or silence is not treated as consent. Processing that requires consent remains disabled until valid consent is obtained. You may change relevant choices through the privacy options provided in the game or contact us at the address in this policy. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing based on consent. Advertising and our own analytics choices are managed separately.
4. Recipients and international processing
We provide necessary information to these providers for the purposes above:
- Google AdMob and its advertising service partners: providing, measuring and protecting rewarded advertising and applying relevant privacy choices.
- Google Play: purchases, verification and related transaction matters.
- Neon: database hosting for analytics operated by us. Access is controlled through our service interfaces and permissions; data is not made public to other players.
- Infrastructure and support providers: website/API hosting, storage, network security and email support, processing information as needed for their respective services.
We may also disclose necessary information to meet legal obligations, respond to valid requests from authorized authorities or protect lawful rights. We do not sell personal information for money.
We are based in China, and providers may process information outside your country or region. Before an international transfer, we will meet applicable transfer conditions, such as legally applicable contractual safeguards or other recognized mechanisms. If those conditions cannot be met, the transfer will not take place. Contact us for information about relevant recipients and safeguards.
5. Children and teenagers
The game is intended for players approximately ten years old and older, including users covered by local child-protection rules. Definitions of a child and parental-consent requirements vary by region; we do not substitute a single worldwide age-13 threshold for local requirements.
Until age categories can be determined under applicable rules, users are treated as having unknown age. We do not enable optional, individually linkable behavioral analytics for children or unknown-age users, show them interest-based or remarketing ads, or transmit prohibited device identifiers such as Android Advertising ID.
Ads for children or unknown-age users use SDKs, age-appropriate content and formats meeting Google Play Families requirements. Advertising or processing remains disabled if the necessary protections or consent conditions cannot be met. Processing requiring verifiable parental consent remains disabled until that consent is obtained. Core puzzle play is not conditional on allowing optional processing.
Parents or guardians may email us to ask about, access or request deletion of a child’s information. If we discover children’s personal information collected inappropriately, we will stop the relevant processing and take appropriate deletion measures.
6. Retention
We set retention limits according to purpose and may delete information earlier when its purpose is fulfilled or in response to a valid deletion request. Shorter periods required by applicable law take precedence.
| Information | Retention rule |
|---|---|
| Local progress and settings | Until you clear application data, uninstall, or records are replaced through normal game operation; system backups may remain and are managed through the relevant system |
| Linkable gameplay event records | Up to 90 days from the event, then deleted or converted to aggregates that cannot reasonably be linked to an individual |
| Ordinary website/API access logs and diagnostics | Up to 30 days from creation; necessary records directly related to an identified security incident may remain until that incident is resolved |
| Support emails and general enquiries | Up to 12 months after resolution, then deleted or anonymized; only necessary evidence of request handling is retained where legally required |
| Age-category and privacy-choice records | Only as needed to apply your choices and demonstrate lawful processing; full dates of birth are not retained for behavioral analytics |
| Purchase, fulfillment, refund and fraud-prevention records | As needed to verify purchases, maintain purchased entitlements, resolve refunds/disputes and meet applicable tax/accounting obligations; deleted or anonymized when no longer needed |
| Service-data backups under our control | Not used for routine analytics; affected data expires through backup rotation within 30 days after deletion, and accepted deletions are reapplied after restoration, except necessary records legally required to be retained |
Where legal obligations or specific disputes require longer retention, we retain only relevant records, restrict their use, and delete or anonymize them when that basis ends. Aggregates that cannot reasonably identify individuals may continue to support product improvement.
These periods cover records under our control. Payment, advertising or security information independently processed by Google is managed under its policies and applicable obligations. You may use Google’s privacy tools or contact us for guidance.
7. Access, deletion and other rights
Depending on applicable law, you or your parent or guardian may have rights to access, correct or delete information, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, withdraw consent or complain to a competent data-protection authority.
Email tideboundfleet@hotmail.com with the subject “Tidebound Fleet data request” and explain what you want us to address. If your game version displays a player or support identifier, you may include it; you can still contact us without one. We request only what is necessary to locate records and verify the request, without requiring a new game account.
We handle requests promptly and normally respond within one month of receipt; any shorter period required by applicable law takes precedence. If a lawful extension is necessary, we explain the reason and extended period within the original deadline. We explain the scope and reasons where records cannot be located or legally deleted.
You can delete local data through your device’s application storage settings. Uninstalling or clearing local saves does not automatically delete information already sent to servers, Google advertising services or Google Play. Server-side deletion does not delete your Google account or request a refund; legally retained purchase records are not used for optional behavioral analytics.
8. Security
We will use modern encryption such as HTTPS/TLS for data in transit and restrict unauthorized access through permissions, controlled server interfaces and appropriate security administration. No system guarantees absolute security. Please email us if you identify a relevant issue.
9. Changes and contact
When purposes, providers or other material practices change, we update this policy and its date and, where needed, notify you in the game and obtain renewed consent. The current policy is available through the game’s privacy-policy entry or on this page.
